Billy Bob is a farmer whose name is Farmer and he farms the family farm for a living.  However, he is also a farmer with a dream of going into space, which he puts into action by disregarding the pleas of his wife (Virginia Madsen) and children, his banker, the gub'ment (personified by J.K. Simmons), and the very real possibility of death by sitting atop several tons of rocket fuel in a homemade rocket.  Nevertheless, Farmer overcomes all and reaches for the stars in this family-friendly movie about pursuing your dreams.
