HoffmanDustin Hoffman plays a 243 year old magic store owner who hires Natalie Portman and Jason Bateman (an accountant) to help him.  Hoffman's a spry 243 year old small business owner, whose childlike sense of wonder and flights of fantasy are both comically over the top and fun to watch.

Value:
$3.50
Our rating system is based on a $7 ticket cost and is the most you should pay to see it.
The store, of course, is magical and it's a place where you don't play with the toys, the toys play with you.  But everything is about to change, because Magorium (Hoffman) has just worn out his last pair of shoes, thus exhausting a supply he purchased hundreds of years ago presumably because he got a really good bargain.  This means (apparently) that everything is going to change.

Quirky, family fun,  Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium is worth a view or two if only to see Hoffman act so goofy.
